Here at PX we take our social responsibility seriously. In 2023 we have chosen to support the Young Lives v Cancer charity (formerly CLIC Sargent). They do incredible work with families and children who are having to deal with cancer. In their own words, “We are the charity that helps children and young people (0-25) and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them”.
Support the Young Lives v Cancer travel campaign
The charity has launched a new travel costs campaign. It highlights the financial costs many young people and families face having to travel to or from hospital for treatment. In today’s cost of living crisis, many are having to make impossible decisions. Young people with cancer and their families spend an average of £250 and travel 350 miles per month, every month, to get to treatment, causing added stress and pressure at an already difficult time.
Please help us to raise awareness – and sign the petition calling on the UK Government to create a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund. This could provide better financial support for the cost of travelling to cancer treatment.
